| Firstly the factory applied the
body colour and then masked and sprayed the white background.
Unfortunately the edge of the mask was a little too fuzzy and
once the dark blue bands were applied top and bottom, the width
of the white border varied. After the factory determined an
alternative method to Tampo print the white line on our first
quality versions (see the Indian Red version) we were then faced
with the option to junk several months production and start
again or rectify the NQR versions and overprint a wider border.
We elected to go with the second option provided the
factory came to the party with a price reduction, at first they
were reluctant as the re-worked versions took longer to finish
however common sense prevailed. We now have stock of NQR
versions and the slightly over width white border isn't that
readily apparent making these containers highly suitable
for weathering, see our OCY products page for
inspiration. |
